Mobile Order Management & Tracking

Overview
Extended the Viridian Glass Client Portal into a native mobile app for iOS and Android, putting client dashboard, order management, live delivery tracking, and a delivery calendar directly in the hands of client staff — further driving digital ordering engagement from 19% to 27%.
The Challenge
Following the success of the Client Portal, Viridian needed the same capabilities available to client staff in-factory and on the road. Customers needed mobile-native access to delivery monitoring, ordering, and upcoming delivery scheduling — without relying on a desktop browser.
What We Did
- 1
Built with React Native and Expo for a single codebase deployable to both iOS and Android, sharing business logic with the existing portal.
- 2
Replicated and extended all Portal features including live delivery tracking, order placement, and document access in a mobile-optimised interface.
- 3
Added a delivery calendar view showing scheduled deliveries across the coming weeks for planning and visibility.
- 4
Optimised for in-factory use: large touch targets, fast load times, and resilient data patterns for variable connectivity environments.
- 5
Coordinated App Store and Google Play submission with staged rollout across the Viridian customer base.
“A very professional and thorough service. The Softlogic team were able to take over the software that runs the business after we were separated from our parent company and lost access to the developers. We were faced with hiring a development team but realised we didn't want to get into software development — after all, we make glass. We've been giving the support team bugs and enhancements, and are now starting to replace portions of the system. The business analysts at SoftLogic helped define our new system concept. I would highly recommend SoftLogic to rescue your critical software.”

Viridian Glass, one of Australia's leading glass manufacturers, engaged SoftLogic to take ownership of their core business systems — ensuring critical manufacturing and distribution software remained stable, performant, and continuously improved.
Self-Service Order Visibility & Online Ordering
Client Access Portal
We designed and built a unified customer portal that replaced call-centre dependency with self-service order tracking, live delivery maps with truck location, proof of delivery, document access, and online glass ordering — all surfacing data from Viridian's existing legacy systems we are maintaining.
Software Rescue
or Replace
Methodology
A Structured Decision Framework
for Business Leaders & CTOs
Before you rewrite, make the right call.
Most organisations rewrite software they should rescue — wasting years and millions discovering complexity already embedded in the system they abandoned. This free methodology gives you a structured framework to make the rescue-or-replace decision with confidence, before committing to either path.
- The 5-dimension framework for evaluating rescue viability vs. full redevelopment
- The 3-phase rescue process — Resuscitation, Rejuvenation, and Renovation — explained in full
- The 7-step triage methodology for taking ownership of an unknown or orphaned codebase
- How to reduce redevelopment risk with incremental modernisation
- The financial case: why rescue-first consistently delivers better ROI than a big-bang rewrite
